Aideen is SENIOR ART THERAPIST in specialist palliative care services in Milford Care Centre Limerick She has experience working in the Marmount Hospice in Cork, the Mercy Hospice in Auckland, New Zealand, the Childrens Palliative Care team in the Red Cross Childrens hospital, Capetown and the Sarah Fox childrens hospital, Capetown, South Africa.

 

Her abstract "A Holistic Approach to Care: An Art Therapists Reflection of the literature and Personal practice of Art Therapy In Palliative Care." was selected to be presented at the international conference on Palliative Care at the Marymount Hospice, Cork (2015).

 

Aideen has also presented at the lunchtime lecture series at the Marymount hospice, Cork and facilitated an introduction to art therapy workshops on the post graduate in palliative care course (UCC). She has also ran several introductory workshops to health care practitioners in hospice and eldercare settings.

Aideen feels very passioante about the use of Art therapy as a way to gently explore end of life issues with both adults and children, male and female.
